Physiotherapy at Home in Bangalore

Therapy sessions carried out in the patient's own home, which removes the single biggest reason people stop going: the journey there.

Why home makes a difference to therapy

Getting a recovering patient into a car, through Bangalore traffic, into a clinic and back is exhausting for them and for whoever takes them. It is also the point at which most home programmes quietly stop. Therapy at home removes that, and it lets the therapist work in the actual room where the patient has to manage — this doorway, this bathroom step, this bed height.

The exercises are only half of it

The other half is what happens on the days between sessions. A therapy plan that the family understands and can supervise is worth more than a more advanced plan that nobody continues. Expect to be shown what to do, not just told that it was done.

Progress you can actually see

Recovery is slow enough that it is hard to notice from inside the house. Simple recorded measures — how far someone walked, how many steps, whether they stood unaided — are what tell you whether the plan is working or needs changing.

Not sure which of these you need?

Describe the situation on the phone and we will tell you what level of care it actually calls for.

Physiotherapy at Home — questions families ask

What conditions is home physiotherapy suitable for?
It is commonly arranged after a stroke, after orthopaedic surgery such as a knee or hip replacement, after a fracture, and for age-related loss of mobility and balance. Tell us the diagnosis and what the patient can currently do, and we will advise whether home sessions are appropriate.
Do we need equipment at home?
Usually very little to begin with. The therapist will tell you after the first assessment if anything is genuinely needed, rather than sending a list in advance.
How many sessions will be needed?
That depends on the condition and on how the patient responds, and any provider who gives you a number before an assessment is guessing. Expect a review after the first few sessions.
