Stroke and Neuro Rehabilitation at Home in Bangalore
Nursing and therapy working together in the patient's own home during the months after a stroke, when consistency matters more than intensity.
The months after discharge are the ones that count
Hospitals handle the emergency. What follows is longer, quieter and largely happens at home — relearning movement, managing swallowing and speech difficulties, preventing the complications that come with lying still, and holding a routine together on the days when nobody feels like it. That period is where most of the functional recovery is either gained or lost.
Nursing and therapy in the same plan
Stroke care at home rarely divides cleanly. Positioning and skin care are nursing work; regaining movement is therapy; both fail if they are arranged separately by people who never speak to each other. It works when one plan covers both and the family knows who to call.
Honest expectations
Recovery after a stroke varies enormously between patients, and no provider can tell you in advance how far it will go. What can be said is that a consistent plan carried out at home over months gives the best chance of whatever recovery is available, and that unrealistic promises are a warning sign, not reassurance.
